Switching to the Beta Booking Version (Calendar)
The system allows you to switch between the classic and new (beta) booking interface from the Manage Bookings page or from the Booking Settings page.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you have access to the Bookings module in your role. No additional permissions are required to switch between the two versions.
Switching from the Classic Interface to the Beta Version
If the Bookings module was already activated and installed the classic interface opens by default. To switch to the beta version:
- From the main menu click “Bookings“.
- Click “Manage Bookings” or “Manage Booking Settings“.
- Click the “Switch to Beta” button at the top of the page.
- The new booking calendar interface loads immediately.
Switching from the Beta Version to the Classic Interface
From within the beta version click the settings icon at the top left of the calendar, then click “Switch to Classic Mode” from the menu that appears. The interface reverts to the classic version immediately.
If the Bookings Module is Being Activated for the First Time
If this is the first time you are activating the Bookings module the beta interface opens by default. A “Switch to Classic Mode” button appears on the Manage Bookings page to switch to the classic interface whenever needed.
Notes
- Each version has its own sidebar menu items and available tools — the classic menu items are independent from the beta version menu items.
- Switching between versions does not affect booking data or user access permissions.
- A Beta tag appears next to the beta version menu items in the sidebar.
- The option to add a new booking from the client-facing area does not appear when the beta version is active.
