Viewing the Bids List

Daftra allows you to view all bids created in the account from a single screen, with the ability to filter them by multiple criteria and take the appropriate actions on them. This guide explains the required permissions, the content of the list screen, the search and filter tools, and the actions available on each bid.

Permissions

The user must have the “View All Bids” or “View His Own (Created) Bids” permission to be able to view records within the bids list. If the user has neither of these permissions, the “Bids” menu item is hidden entirely.

How to Access the Screen

From the main menu, click on “Construction”, then click on “Bids”.

Header

  • “Add Bid” button: a primary button for creating a new bid.
  • Page navigation tools, displayed as “X-Y of Z”.

Search and Filters

The “Search & Filters” section offers two display options:

  • Simple: shows the fields Search by bid title or code, Status, and Client.
  • Advanced: shows all the fields from Simple search, plus: Valid Until, and Creation Date.

You can also click “Hide” to collapse the search and filters section entirely when not needed.

Available Search and Filter Tools:

  • Search field: displays the placeholder “Search by bid title or code”, with autocomplete enabled while typing.
  • Status: a dropdown (single selection), including the options: Draft, Issued, Quoted, Awarded, Rejected.
  • Client: a dropdown (single selection), searchable by client name, code, email, or mobile number, with a suggestion list appearing based on the search. Only active clients are shown, with autocomplete support.
    • If the Branch plugin is active, only clients from the current branch or clients shared across branches are shown.
  • Valid Until: a date range picker, to display bids that are valid within this period.
  • Create Date: a date range picker.

After setting your search criteria, click the “Search” button to apply them, or the “Clear All” button to reset all filters at once.

When No Results Are Found

If there are no results matching the search criteria, the message “No Results Found” appears, along with the text: No matching Bid found. Try adjusting your filters or adding a new Bid., followed by two buttons: “Reset Filters”“Add New Bid”.

List Details

Each record in the list displays the following columns:

  • Bid: the bid title, followed by its number.
  • Client: the client’s photo, name, and code (if there is no photo, a placeholder appears).
  • Valid Until: the bid’s expiry date, with the number of remaining days shown below it.
  • Description: shows up to two lines of the bid’s description (a dash “—” appears if there is no description). Hovering over a long description shows the full text.
  • Creation Date.
  • Status: shown as a colored badge indicating the bid’s status, with its value (if any) below it.
    • The bid value is the total amount of the latest quotation linked to the bid.
    • If a quotation is approved and the bid’s status changes to “Awarded”, the bid value becomes the value of the approved quotation.

Actions Available on Each Record

The following actions appear within the three-dot (⋯) menu next to each record:

  • View.
  • Edit.
  • Delete.
  • Clone.

Sorting

  • The default sorting is by creation date (the most recently created appears first in the list).
  • You can sort by any column in the list (ascending or descending) via the “Sort” button shown above the “Status” column.

Empty State

If no bids have been created yet, the message “No Records Added Yet” appears, along with the “Add Bid”.
