Notification Settings in the Construction Module
This feature allows the system user to manage the alert criteria for projects’ due dates, to display a notification on projects along with the remaining days.
Before You Begin
- You must have the “Manage Construction Settings” permission to be able to access Construction Settings.
Steps to Access Notification Settings
- From the sidebar menu, click on “Construction,” then go to “Construction Settings.”
- Click on “General Settings.”
- Open the “Notifications & Alerts” section.
Notifications & Alerts Section Data
- Near-Due Calculation Method (two selectable cards): default value “Percentage,” with two options:
- Percentage: a notification when the percentage of the total remaining duration is reached.
- Fixed Time: a notification a specified time duration before the end date.
- Notification Threshold: specifies the threshold before the due date at which the project is considered near-due. The field’s shape changes dynamically based on the calculation method selected above:
- When “Percentage” is selected: only a single numeric field appears (“Enter Value”), with no accompanying dropdown (the entered value represents a percentage).
- When “Fixed Time” is selected: the numeric field appears accompanied by a dropdown to select the unit, with the default value “Days,” and a second option, “Months.”
Steps to Save the Settings
- Edit the settings as needed.
- Click the “Save” button at the top of the screen.
How the System Works
- After the settings are updated successfully, the message “Settings updated successfully” appears.
