Viewing a Work Item Template

This feature allows the system user to view the details of work item templates, to track and manage them easily.

Before You Begin

You must have the “View All Work Item Templates” permission or the “View His Own (Created) Work Item Templates” permission to be able to view the template; without either, the “View” button is completely hidden.

Steps to View a Work Item Template

From the sidebar menu, click on “Construction,” then go to “Work Item Templates.”
Click the “View” button for the required template.
Review the template’s details on the screen.

Header:
Displays the template’s title, code, status, and navigation buttons to move between previous or next templates.
Available Actions:
- Edit: to edit the template’s data.
- Delete: to delete the template.
- Clone: to create an identical copy of the template.
- Update Unit Cost: to update the unit cost of the items within the template.
“Details” Tab:
- Template Information:
  - Template Title: displays the template’s title and code.
  - Work Item: displays the work item’s photo, title, and code. If there’s no photo, a placeholder icon appears.
  - Created By: displays the name of the template’s creator and the creation date.
- Bill of Quantities: displays a table with all the items within the template, including the following columns: Item, Quantity, Unit Cost, and Subtotal (with the ability to sort each column), along with a summary row at the bottom of the table showing the Total (based on the work item’s quantity and unit of measurement).
“Activity Log” Tab:
Displays a timeline of all actions performed on the template (such as creation, editing, deletion…), showing the name of the user who performed the action, along with the date and time. The log can be filtered by time period, actor (user), or action type.

You can track how many times a work item is used across work item templates and projects from the view screen of the product/service itself (from the “Inventory” section, then “Products & Services”):
- Work Item Templates: shows the count of active only templates where the work item is used.
- Projects: shows the count of projects where the work item is used, based on its usage within active contracts only, with a hint stating: “Total count of projects that include this work item.”
