Set Up Permissions for Rental and Unit Management

The system allows you to control access to the Rental and Unit Management module through employee roles. This guide explains the available permissions and how to enable them for each role.

Available Permissions

The Rental and Unit Management application includes the following permissions:

• Manage Rental Settings: provides access to all application settings and allows managing pricing rules, unit types, and units.
  • This permission must be enabled for any user who needs to configure unit settings or manage their content.
• Manage Reservation Orders: allows creating, editing, and deleting reservation orders.
  • When enabled, the View Reservation Orders permission is automatically activated.
• View Reservation Orders: allows viewing reservation orders only, without the ability to create, edit, or delete them.
  • If this permission is revoked, the Manage Reservation Orders permission is automatically revoked as well.
• Delete Reservation Orders: allows deleting reservation orders.
  • When enabled, the View Reservation Orders permission is automatically activated.

Steps to Set Up Permissions

• From the main menu, click on “Employees“.
• Click on “Manage Employee Roles“.
• Search for the role you want to edit and click “Edit“.
• Search for the “Rental and Unit Management” section within the permissions list.
• Enable the required permissions:
  • Manage Rental Settings for users who need to manage settings and units.
  • Manage Reservation Orders for users who need to create and manage reservations.
  • View Reservation Orders for users who need read-only access without editing.
  • Delete Reservation Orders for users who need to delete reservations.
• Click “Save“.

Validation Rules

• Enabling Manage Reservation Orders automatically enables View Reservation Orders.
• Disabling View Reservation Orders automatically disables Manage Reservation Orders.
• Enabling Delete Reservation Orders automatically enables both View Reservation Orders and Manage Reservation Orders.
• Without the Manage Rental Settings permission, the Settings, Pricing Rules, Unit Types, Seasonal Prices, and Units menu items will not appear in the main menu.
• Without either of the reservation order permissions, the Reservation Orders menu item will not appear in the main menu.
