Add New Seasonal Pricing
The system allows you to add seasonal prices that replace the base pricing rules during specific time periods, enabling you to apply different rates to rental units during peak seasons and special occasions.
Steps to Add a New Seasonal Price
- From the main menu, click on “Rental and Unit Management“.
- Click on “Seasonal Prices“.
- Click the “Add Seasonal Price” button.
Seasonal Price Data
- Name: Enter a distinctive name for the seasonal price. This field is mandatory and must be unique.
- Date From: Set the start date for the seasonal price. This field is mandatory.
- Date To: Set the end date for the seasonal price. This field is mandatory. The end date must be greater than or equal to the start date, otherwise the message “The to date should be greater than or equal the from date” will appear.
- Unit Type (Units): Select one or more unit types from the list of active unit types. Options appear with the unit type name and ID, and you can search by name or ID with autocomplete support. This field is mandatory and accepts multiple selections.
- Pricing Rule: Select the active pricing rule to be applied during this seasonal period. Options appear with the rule name and ID, and you can search by name or ID with autocomplete support. This field is mandatory. The pricing method of the selected pricing rule must match the pricing method of the selected unit type, otherwise the message “The pricing method of the unit type should be same as the pricing method of the selected pricing rule” will appear. You can also add a new pricing rule on the fly by clicking the “Add Rule” button.
- Days of the Week: Select the days on which the seasonal price will apply. All days of the week are enabled by default and you can disable any day by toggling the switch next to it.
Click “Save” to complete the addition, or click “Cancel” to go back without saving
How the System Works Upon Saving
- The seasonal price is added immediately and appears in the seasonal prices list.
- The system automatically redirects to the new seasonal price’s view page.
- The addition is recorded in the general activity log and in the seasonal price’s own activity log
Validation Rules
- The seasonal price name must be unique and cannot be duplicated.
- All mandatory fields must be filled in before saving. If any mandatory field is left empty, the message “This is a Required Field and Could Not Be Empty” will appear.
- The end date must be greater than or equal to the start date.
- The pricing method of the pricing rule must match the pricing method of the selected unit type.
