View Work Item Template Activity Log
This screen displays a detailed log of all changes made to a Work Item Template since it was created, such as adding, editing, changing its status, deleting, and cloning it, allowing you to track who made each change and when.
Before You Start, make sure of the following:
- Activate the Construction application by navigating to Settings from the main menu and selecting Apps Manager.
Steps
- From the main menu, click Construction.
- Select Work Item Templates.
- Click the Actions icon next to the template you want.
- Select View.
- Click the Activity Log tab.
How the System Works
- When a new template is added, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Added Work Item Template {template title #code}”, accompanied by the time, username, and branch.
- When the template’s basic information is edited from the Edit form, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Updated Work Item Template {template title #code}”, with details of each changed field in the format: “{field name}: {old value} ← {new value}”, along with the time, username, and branch.
- When a Work Item’s data is edited within the Materials and Services table, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Updated Work Item {item name #code}”, with details of each changed column in the format: “{column name}: {old value} ← {new value}” (such as quantity, cost, and subtotal), along with the time, username, and branch.
- When a new Work Item is added to the table, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Added Item to Template {item name #code}”, without additional details, along with the time, username, and branch.
- When a Work Item is removed from the table, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Removed Item from Template {item name #code}”, without additional details, along with the time, username, and branch.
- When the template status is changed, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Updated Work Item Template {template title #code}”, with the detail: “Status: {old status} ← {new status}”, along with the time, username, and branch.
- When the template is cloned, an entry appears with the message: “{username} Cloned Work Item Template {template title #code}”, without additional details, along with the time, username, and branch.
Notes
- Activity Log entries are displayed grouped by date.
