Page tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Construction Quotation | The quotation in the first template of the Printables list, as the client will receive it. This tab appears first and the page opens on it if the quotation has a printable template. It extends to the document’s full length, so you scroll the page, while the page header stays fixed at the top. |
| Details | The quotation data: client, project or bid, duration and dates, taxes, and Bill of Quantities. |
| Activity Log | All operations performed on the quotation. |
🛈
Note: The Construction Quotation tab has no print or download buttons. To print or choose another template, use Printables in the action bar.

Approving a quotation
- On a quotation with the Issued status, click Approve.
- Review the confirmation message, then click Yes. The status becomes Approved.
| Case | What the confirmation message shows |
|---|---|
| The quotation is linked to a cost sheet that will be updated | An extra line: Cost Sheet #code will be updated with Quotation #code changes. The cost sheet is updated with the quotation’s Bill of Quantities, duration, dates, and taxes. |
| Another approved quotation is linked to the same cost sheet | A warning that the other quotation will be rejected when you approve. |
| The quotation is on a bid that isn’t awarded yet | A warning that the bid status will become Awarded, and you won’t be able to edit the quotation or its status afterward. |
🛈
Note: If another quotation linked to the same cost sheet is Contracted, approval is blocked with the message Quotation can’t be approved.
Adding a contract from a quotation
The Add Contract button appears at the top of the page when the quotation is Approved, linked to a project that has no contract, and you have permission to add contracts. It doesn’t appear for a quotation linked only to a bid.
Clicking it opens the contract form with the quotation selected, along with the client, project, Bill of Quantities, duration, dates, taxes, and currency. After you save the contract, the quotation status becomes Contracted. For the full steps, read How to Create a Contract and Link It to an Approved Construction Quotation.
Action buttons
The action bar below the page header includes Edit, Clone, Printables, Send Email, and Reject before Delete. Reject appears for issued quotations only.
