Viewing the Sales Periods List and Commission Type

The Sales Periods list displays all periods created in the account along with their date range, applied commission type, and status, allowing you to monitor calculation periods and approve them.

Steps to View the Sales Periods List

  1. Click on the “Targeted Sales & Commissions” menu.
  2. Click on “Sales Periods.”
  3. The list displays sales periods. Among the key columns:
    • Commission Type: Displays the type of commission rule linked to the period — “Fixed” for commission calculated on each invoice, or “Tiered” for commission calculated at the period level based on target achievement.
  4. Click on any period to view its full details, including the achievement percentage, total commission, and associated sales commission records.
  5. To create a new period, click “Add.”

How the System Works

  • The system automatically derives the “Commission Type” column value from the commission rule linked to each period, and the column is displayed for all records.
  • For “Tiered” type periods, the final commission value appears in the list after the period is approved — as the commission remains subject to continuous recalculation throughout the time it stays open.
