Adding an Insurance Class

The system allows you to add one or more insurance class to your insurance agent in order to assign them to your client. This addition can be done either immediately after “Adding the Insurance agent” or from within the insurance agent’s information screen.

  1. From the main menu, click on “Insurance Agents“.
  2. Click on “Manage Insurance Agents“.
  3. Click on the insurance agent for which you want to add an insurance class.
  4. Click on the “New Class” button at the top of the agent’s information.
  5. Enter the insurance class details as follows:
    • Name: Enter the name of the insurance class as required.
    • Categories: Select the categories that the insurance category will apply to. For more details, see the “Product Categories” guide.
    • Discount %: Specify the discount percentage on the items, if any.
      • Note: The discount percentage will be calculated after taking into account the copayment mentioned in the agent’s specific insurance class.
    • Company Copayment %: Enter the copayment percentage that will be borne by the insurance agent. Based on this, the system will automatically calculate the client’s copayment percentage.
    • Client Copayment %: Enter the copayment percentage that will be borne by the client. Based on this, the system will automatically calculate the insurance company’s copayment percentage.
    • Max Copayment $: Enter the maximum copayment amount and choose from the dropdown menu next to the field either the client or the insurance agent, so that the copayment percentage that will be paid by either the client or the agent will not exceed this specified amount. If the copayment percentage exceeds this specified amount, it will be used as a substitute for the percentage.
  6. Click on the “Save” button.
