Excluding some Products or Categories from the Sales Operations

How to exclude the Products Categories from the Sales Processes

Many times, we need to use certain items, whether they are services, consumables, or raw materials, that are intended for internal use only and are not subject to the process of selling to the end customer.

The Daftra program allows the exclusion of some products from sales processes. This can be done by assigning a category to the products that need to be excluded, and then excluding this category from the sales settings.

Firstly: Assigning a Category to the Items required to be excluded

  1. From the main menu, click on “Inventory.”
  2. Click on “Products & Services.”
  3. Edit the products you want to exclude from sales.
  4. In the “Category” field, add a category name, for example, “Raw.”
  5. Click “Save” to apply the modification.

Secondly: Adding the Category to the "Categories Excluded from Sales" list

  1. From the main menu, click on “Sales.”
  2. Click on “Sales Settings.”
  3. Click on “General Invoice/ Estimate Settings”
  4. Add the category “Raw” as shown in the example in the list under “Exclude Items Categories From Sales Transactions”
  5. Click “Save.”

When adding the category in this field found in Sales Settings, any item assigned to this category will not be sold again until this category is removed from the Sales Settings.
