Why can’t I restore a deleted transaction?
The most common reason is that the transaction date falls within a closed financial period — a message appears explaining this and suggesting cloning as an alternative to restoration. Cloning creates a new active transaction with a new sequential number using the same data, and requires the “Add” permission for the transaction type in addition to the manage deleted transactions permission.
As another alternative, if the closed financial period can be reopened according to your account’s policies, you can reopen it and then restore the transaction with its original number.
