Enabling the Tax Invoice on your Account
Daftra software provides a dedicated tool to customize and format invoice templates. With the implementation of the Electronic Invoice System, we have provided a pre-made template called “Tax Invoice” that complies with all the requirements set by the Saudi Arabian General Authority of Zakat and Tax. This aims to facilitate the immediate transition for account holders during the Phase 1 of the Electronic Invoice System.
Pros of the "Tax Invoice" Template:
- Includes a QR code.
- Displays the VAT number of the business/establishment.
- Note: Ensure that the VAT number of the establishment is registered in the “Account Settings” screen. You can refer to the guide “Adding the VAT Number of the Establishment” for instructions.
- Displays the VAT number of the client.
- Note: Ensure that the VAT number is registered in the client’s profile. You can refer to the guide “Client VAT Number” for instructions.
- Displays columns for “Tax Percent”, “Tax Value”, and “Subtotal after Tax” for each item in the invoice.
- Displays the subtotal before tax, total tax amount, and total invoice amount after tax.
Steps to Activate the Tax Invoice Template
- From the main menu, click on “Templates”.
- Select “Printable Templates” from the menu.
- Click on the “Invoice/ Estimate Layouts” card.
- Click on the “New Layout” button.
- Choose the template design displayed as “فاتورة ضريبية” (for Arabic) or “Tax Invoice” (for English).
- Check the “Set this layout as default” option in the “Template Details” tab.
- Click the “Save” button at the top to save the template.
Notes:
- The Tax Invoice template has a specific code to handle the calculations related to taxes. Therefore, it is not recommended to modify or replace the columns of the template except for the “Item” and “Description” columns.
- You can make other adjustments to the template, such as changing the logo, adjusting font size and type, modifying label names, setting up the business info, client info, etc.
- You can modify the column labels in the template to be in both Arabic and English languages. For more details, you can refer to the guide “Modifying Template Labels in Arabic and English”.
- The template’s title can be modified by clicking the “Title” button in the editing screen. For more details, you can refer to the guide “Modifying the Invoice Template Title”.
