How to Add the VAT Number to an Invoice
Daftra software enables you to transfer all your company’s data to the invoice template to include all the required information on the electronic invoice, including the “VAT Number of the company”, and this requires two main steps:
- Registering the VAT Number in the Software Settings.
- Adding the variable that displays the VAT number to the invoice template.
1-Registering the VAT Number in the General Settings
- From the main menu, click on “Settings”.
- Click on “Account Settings” from the menu.
- Enter your company’s VAT number in the “VAT Number” field.
- Click the “Save” button at the top of the screen.
2-Adding the VAT Number to the Invoice Template
Firstly: Adding the VAT Number to a New Invoice Template:
- From the main menu, click on “Templates”.
- Click on “Printable Templates” from the menu.
- Click on the “Invoice/ Estimate Layouts” card.
- Click on the “New Layout” button.
- Choose a preferred template design (we recommend selecting the “Tax Invoice” or “فاتورة ضريبية” template).
- Click on the “Business info” tab on the left side of the template editing screen.
- Inside the screen, you will see a set of variables for business data. Enter the symbol {%site_bn1%} on a new line.
- Note: If you choose the “Tax Invoice” or “فاتورة ضريبية” template, you will find the placeholder already present.
- Click the “Save” button in the “Business Info” screen.
- Check the “Set this layout as default” option in the “Template Details” tab.
- Click the “Save” button at the top.
Secondly: Adding the VAT Number to a Previously Saved Invoice Template:
- From the main menu, click on “Templates”.
- Click on “Printable Templates” from the menu.
- Click on the “Invoice/ Estimate Layouts” card.
- Click on the default invoice template in your account to enter the template editing screen.
- Click on the “Business Info” button at the left side of the template editing screen.
- Inside the screen, you will see a set of placeholders for company data. Add the symbol {%site_bn1%} on a new line.
- Click the “Save” button in the “Business Info” screen.
- Click the “Save” button at the top to save the template.
