What happens if two offers are eligible for the same invoice?
If the two offers are compatible (they affect different parts of the invoice, such as different item categories, or a discount and free delivery) → both offers are applied together, with each offer affecting only the items or part it targets.
Examples of compatible offers:
- Offer A: 10% discount on the Beverages category, and Offer B: 15% discount on the Desserts category → both offers are applied together, each to its own category.
- Offer A: Free Delivery, and Offer B: a discount on Beverages → both offers are applied together because they affect different invoice components.
If the two offers conflict (they affect the same item or the same discount scope), only one offer is applied—the one with the earliest creation date. The other offer is completely ignored for that specific item: it does not apply a discount, add a reward, affect the total, or appear as an applied offer.
Important: Conflicts are determined at the item level, not at the invoice level as a whole. For example, if Offer A covers only one product while Offer B covers all products, and the two offers conflict on that specific product, the older offer is applied to that product. However, the other offer can still apply to the remaining eligible products that are not covered by the first offer.
