Overview of POS for Food & Beverage
POS for Restaurants is a standalone app dedicated to managing daily sales operations in restaurants and cafés, from opening a shift to closing it, including building orders, assigning tables, collecting payment, and issuing invoices. The app connects directly to your account with no additional setup required. This article provides an overview of the app before moving into the details of each screen.
Who Is This App For?
This app is intended for the cashier or any employee responsible for carrying out sales operations within the restaurant or café directly from the point of sale.
How to Access the App
First: Enabling the App (for First-Time Use)
- From the main menu in the system, click “App Manager.”
- Click the “Manage External Apps” button.
- Search for the “POS Food & Beverage” app within the list of available apps.
- Click “Enable” to add the app to your account.
Second: Opening and Using the App
- After enabling it, open the “POS” app from the main menu.
- Click “POS Food & Beverage.“
- Log in using your usual account username and password.
The app automatically recognizes the restaurant account and branch you’re working on, with no additional setup required.
Main Sections of the App
The app consists of several main sections accessible from the top navigation bar:

5. Language and Appearance Support
The app works fully in both Arabic and English, displaying content in the correct direction (right-to-left) when using Arabic. The app also supports both light and dark appearance modes.
Important Notes
- No part of the app can be used without opening a session — see the “Opening a Session” article for details.
- The current shift and branch are always displayed on screen, and remain accurate even if the app is opened in more than one browser tab at the same time.
