Viewing the Sales Commissions List
The Sales Commissions list displays all commission records generated from the business transactions of employees covered by commission rules, along with each record’s achievement value and the calculated commission according to the rule type.
Steps to View the Sales Commissions List
- Click on the “Targeted Sales & Commissions” menu.
- Click on “Sales Commissions.”
- The list displays commission records. Among the key columns:
- Employee: The employee the commission belongs to.
- Business Transaction: The type, number, and date of the transaction linked to the record (e.g., Invoice #13).
- Achievement Value: The transaction’s contribution value toward target achievement — always displayed for all records.
- Sales Quantity: The number of items in the transaction.
- Commission: Displayed at its actual value for “Fixed” type rule records, while it appears as a dash “—” for “Tiered” type rule records.
- Click on any record to view its full details.
How the System Works
- For “Fixed” type rules, commission is calculated at the individual invoice level and its value appears directly in the column.
- For “Tiered” type rules, commission is not calculated at the individual record level — it appears as a dash “—”, and hovering over it displays the explanatory message: “Commission is calculated after a sales period is created and approved.” The same behavior applies on the record details view screen.
- The list can be accessed filtered to a specific sales period from the “Sales Commissions List” link inside the Sales Commissions tab on the period view screen.
Note
The “Achievement Value” column was previously named “Sales Amount” and has been renamed to clarify that the value displayed represents the transaction’s contribution toward target achievement.
