Adding a Sales Period

A sales period is the time frame in which employees’ sales are accumulated and through which target achievement percentage and commission are calculated. You can create one for a specific date range and define which employees are included — either through commission rules or by selecting them directly.

Steps to Add a Sales Period

  • Click on the “Targeted Sales & Commissions” menu.
  • Click on “Sales Periods.”
  • Click the “Add” button.
  • From the “Sales Period Information” section, define the period range:
    • Date (From) (Required): The sales period start date.
    • Date (To) (Required): The sales period end date.
  • Select the criterion for determining which employees are included in the period — choose one of the following:
    • Select by Rules (Default): Includes employees based on commission rules, with the option to narrow the scope using the following fields (optional):
      • Department: Select a specific department or leave as “All Departments.”
      • Job Title: Select a specific job title or leave as “All Job Titles.”
      • Commission Rules: Select a specific commission rule or leave as “All Commission Rules.”
    • Select Employees: Directly select specific employees from the “Employees” field.
  • Click “Save”, or “Cancel” to go back without saving.

How the System Works

  • When either criterion is selected (Rules / Employees), its section is activated and the fields of the other criterion are disabled.
  • After the period is created, the system automatically collects invoices falling within its date range for the included employees, and calculates the target achievement percentage and commission according to the commission rule applied to each employee.
  • For tiered commission rules, recalculation happens continuously — with every invoice, refund, or credit note the system automatically recalculates achievement, achievement percentage, and total commission until the period is approved. Validation Rules

The “Date (From)” and “Date (To)” fields are required — the period cannot be saved without specifying both dates.
