Viewing the Booking Activity Log
The booking activity log allows you to track all actions performed on a booking, including adding, editing, deleting, changing status, and generating invoices, with the name of the person who performed each action and the date it took place.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you have the permission to view the activity log in your role.
Steps to View the Booking Activity Log
The booking activity log can be accessed from two places:
Option 1 — From the Booking Details Page
- From the main menu click Bookings.
- Open the required booking from the list.
- Navigate to the Activity Log tab on the booking details page.
- All actions related to that specific booking appear sorted from newest to oldest.
Option 2 — From the General Activity Log
- From the main menu click Reports then navigate to System Activity Log.
- Filter or search by action module or the person who performed the action to view all booking-related activity.
Recorded Actions
The system automatically records the following actions along with the name of the person who performed them (account owner, employee, or client) and the date:
- Booking Added: When a new booking is created by an employee or directly by a client. Example: John Doe added Booking #15 (12/06/2026) for client Jack
- Example: Jack added Booking #15 (12/06/2026)
- Booking Edited: When any booking details are modified.
- Example: John Doe edited Booking #15 (12/06/2026) for client Jack
- Booking Deleted: When a booking is removed from the system.
- Example: John Doe deleted Booking #15 for client Jack
- Status Changed: When the booking status is changed from one state to another.
- Example: John Doe changed the status of Booking #15 from “Pending” to “Confirmed”
- Invoice Generated: When an invoice linked to the booking is created.
- Example: John Doe created Invoice #13 for Booking #15 for client Jack
How the System Works
Every action is recorded immediately upon execution and cannot be undone or removed from the log. The log appears in a separate tab within each booking’s details page showing only the activity for that specific booking. The same actions are also reflected in the account’s general activity log. The name recorded is that of whoever performed the action, whether the account owner, an employee, or a client who made the booking themselves.
Notes
- The activity log is read-only and cannot be edited or have any record deleted from it.
- To view the details of an invoice linked to the booking click its number directly from the activity log.
