How long does a deleted invoice stay in the Trash?

A deleted invoice stays in the Trash for 90 days from the date it was deleted, during which you can recover it with the same number and data. After this period, the invoice is permanently deleted automatically and can no longer be recovered.

• This applies to sales invoices, advance payments, refunds, credit notes, and debit notes, as well as purchase invoices and their documents.
• Next to each invoice in the Trash, you can see its deletion date and the number of days left before it’s permanently deleted, such as: Permanent delete in 5 days.
• The days-left count turns orange when 30 days or fewer are left, and red when 7 days or fewer are left.
• You can permanently delete the invoice before the period ends using Permanent Delete in the Trash.

Note: To view the sales Trash, you need the Manage Deleted Sales Transactions permission. You can open it from Manage Invoices, then the more button (…), then Trash.
