Why can’t I delete an advance payment invoice?

The system prevents deleting an advance payment invoice in the following cases, and shows a message that explains the reason:

• You don’t have permission to delete invoices: The message You are not allowed to delete invoices appears. Ask the account admin to give you the delete permission.
• The advance payment is linked to a refund, credit note, or debit note: The message Invoice #… cannot be deleted because it has linked refunds, credit notes, or debit notes. Remove the linked documents first. appears. Delete the linked documents first, then delete the advance payment.
• The advance payment was submitted to the tax authority through the e-invoice app: The message You cannot delete Advance Payment #… as it has been submitted to the Tax authority appears. A document can’t be deleted after it’s submitted.

Note: Distributing the advance payment to invoices doesn’t prevent deleting it. A confirmation message appears, and when you confirm the deletion, the distribution is removed and the advance payment moves to the Trash for 90 days.
