Why does the message “This note already exists in the library.” appear?

Because the note you’re trying to save already exists in the pre-defined notes on the Item Notes page. The system doesn’t allow duplicate notes, and it doesn’t distinguish between upper and lower case. For example, “No Tahini” and “no tahini” are treated as the same note.

To fix it:

  • Use the existing note instead of adding it again.
  • Or change the new note’s text, then click Save.

Note: Use the search field above the notes table to check whether the note already exists before adding it.
