Why is the payment date field not editable for some users?
The reason is that the user does not have the “Change Payment Date” permission. When this permission is absent, the date field is automatically locked to today’s date and appears visible but not editable.
To grant the permission:
- Go to Employees→ Manage Employee Roles.
- Open the required role and click Edit.
- Navigate to the Sales Permissions section.
- Enable the “Change Payment Date” checkbox.
- Save the role.
Note: Existing roles that already have payment permissions will find this permission enabled automatically. This applies to the add and edit payment windows in sales invoices only — point of sale payments are outside its scope.
