Edit Pricing Rule

The system allows you to edit the data of a pricing rule after it has been created, while keeping the original pricing method and currency unchanged.

Steps to Edit a Pricing Rule

  • From the main menu, click on “Rental and Unit Management“.
  • Click on “Rental Pricing Rules“.
  • Search for the desired pricing rule in the list.
  • Click the edit icon next to it, or open it and click the “Edit” button from the view page.
  • Modify the required data:
    • Pricing Rule Name: a unique name. (Mandatory)
    • Pricing Method: this field is disabled after creation and cannot be changed.
    • Day Price: appears if the pricing method is Days or Days & Hours. (Mandatory)
    • Hour Price: appears if the pricing method is Hours or Days & Hours. (Mandatory)
    • Currency: this field is disabled after creation and cannot be changed.
    • Status: Active or Inactive. (Mandatory)

Click “Save” to complete the edit, or click “Cancel” to go back without saving.

How the System Works on Save

  • The pricing rule data is updated immediately.
  • The system automatically redirects to the pricing rule view page.
  • The edit is recorded in the general activity log and in the pricing rule’s own activity log.

Validation Rules

  • The pricing rule name must be unique and cannot be duplicated. If a duplicate name is entered, the message “This Name Already Exists” will appear.
  • All mandatory fields must be filled in before saving. If any mandatory field is left empty, the message “This is a Required Field and Could Not Be Empty” will appear.
  • The pricing method and currency cannot be changed after the pricing rule has been created.
