View Task Types List
This screen enables system users to view all task types created in the system, allowing them to manage and control the task types when creating tasks.
Before You Start
- Ensure that the Task Management app is enabled. You can enable it by navigating to Settings from the main menu, then opening Apps Manager.
- You must have the Manage Task Types permission to access this screen. Users without this permission cannot see the Task Types menu item.
Steps
- From the main menu, click Task Management.
- Click Settings.
- Click Task Types. The system displays a list of all task types created in the system, with options to search and filter by Name or Status. The list includes the following columns: Name, Task Type Code, Description, Status, and Actions.
- To sort the list, click Sort at the top of the page, then select Created At or Name from the drop-down menu.
- From the Actions menu, click the View, Edit, or Delete icon, depending on your assigned permissions.
How the System Works
- The Sort feature is implemented through a dedicated Sort button with a drop-down menu that includes Created At and Name. The list cannot be sorted by clicking the column headers. When you select a sorting option, the list is reordered without leaving the current screen.
- The Search and Filter feature filters the current list based on the entered Name and/or Status, then displays only the matching results when you click Search. Clicking Clear All restores the complete list without any filters.
- The Status field (Active/Inactive) is always displayed as a colored badge that updates automatically based on the task type status: green for Active and dark purple for Inactive, providing a clear visual distinction between task types.
Validation Rules
- The Task Types menu item is not displayed to users who do not have the Manage Task Types permission.
- The Actions menu displays only the actions that the user is authorized to perform, such as View, Edit, and Delete. Any action for which the user does not have permission is hidden.
