Calculate / Recalculate Attendance Log
The system allows you to calculate or recalculate attendance data directly from the Attendance Logs list or the log details page, without needing to navigate to other modules.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you have the “Calculate Attendance Day” permission in your assigned role.
- The attendance day associated with the log must not be included in an approved attendance sheet; if it is, the button will not appear.
Steps to Calculate
From the Attendance Logs list:
- From the main menu, click “Attendance”, then click “Attendance Logs”.
- Find the log you want and click ··· next to it.
- Click “Calculate” or “Recalculate” depending on the log’s current status.
From the log details page:
- Open the log by clicking “View” from the actions menu.
- Click the “Calculate” or “Recalculate” button on the page.
What Happens After Clicking
- A loading indicator is displayed while the operation is being processed.
- The system triggers the standard attendance calculation logic for the employee and day linked to this log.
- Upon successful completion, the following message appears: “Attendance log calculated successfully.”
- The action is automatically recorded in the activity log of the associated attendance day, capturing the identity of the user who performed the action and the timestamp of the operation.
Notes
- The calculation button does not appear if the user lacks the required permission, or if the attendance day is included in an approved attendance sheet.
- The operation relies on the standard default calculation logic used across the system.
