Task List, Search, and Filters

This screen displays all tasks available to the user in a centralized list, with options to search and filter to quickly find a specific task and open its details, edit it, or delete it based on the available permissions.

Before You Start

  • Ensure that the Task Management app is enabled through Apps Manager by navigating to Settings from the main menu.
  • You must have the View Task permission to access this screen. An employee who has the View Task permission without broader administrative permissions can only see the tasks assigned to them in this list.

Steps

  • From the main menu, click Task Management.
  • Click Tasks. The screen displays a list of the tasks available to you, with an Add Task button at the top of the page. The button is visible only to users with permission to add tasks.
  • To search and filter, use the fields above the list:
    • Search (text field): Searches by task title or code.
    • Status (drop-down list): Filters by task status.
    • Assignee (drop-down list): Filters by the employee assigned to the task.
    • Type (drop-down list): Filters by task type.
    • Priority (drop-down list): Filters by task priority.
    • You can apply multiple search and filter criteria at the same time.
  • Click the task title to open the details screen.
  • From the Actions column, click the Actions icon to access the options to view, edit, or delete the task, based on your available permissions.

How the System Works

  • The list displays the following columns for each task: Task (title with a short description preview), Assignee, Type, Priority, Due Date, Status, and Actions.
  • Employees can only see the tasks assigned to them in this list.
  • The Add Task button is visible only to users with permission to add tasks.
  • The Actions menu in each row displays only the actions (View/Edit/Delete) that the user has permission to perform. Any action for which the user does not have permission is not displayed.
  • You can apply multiple search and filter criteria at the same time, and the results are filtered based on all selected criteria together.
  • If no tasks match the applied filters, the system displays the following message: “No result found.”
  • If no tasks are available to the user, the system displays the following message: “No tasks available.”
