Configure Task Linkable Modules
This screen enables system admins to control which modules appear in the drop-down list when creating or editing tasks, allowing users to link tasks only to relevant operational modules.
Before You Start
- Ensure that the Task Management app is enabled. You can enable it by navigating to Settings from the main menu, then opening Apps Manager.
- You must have the Manage Task Modules permission to access the Linked Modules Configuration screen. Users without this permission cannot access the screen.
Steps
- From the main menu, click Task Management.
- Click Settings.
- Click Linked Module Configuration. The system displays the Available Modules list along with a counter showing the number of selected modules out of the total number of modules (for example, 24/143). A checkbox is displayed next to each module to select or clear it.
- Select or clear modules as needed by selecting or clearing the checkbox next to each module.
- Click Save.
How the System Works
- This screen does not create new modules. All modules already exist in the system database. Its only function is to enable or disable specific modules for use in Task Management.
- After saving, only the modules selected on this screen appear in the drop-down list on the following screens: Create Task, Edit Task, Link Module, and Task Flows.
- Module names are retrieved automatically from the system database. The displayed name changes according to the current system language. The name stored in English is displayed when the interface language is English, and the Arabic translation stored in the system is displayed when the interface language is Arabic. No manual translation is required.
- When the screen is opened for the first time, the system loads the following modules as enabled and selected by default: Invoices, Sales Orders, Clients, Appointments, Products, Warehouses, Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Suppliers, Expenses, Accounting Assets, Work Orders, Employees, Employee Assets, and Employee Custody.
Validation Rules
- The system does not save the configuration if no modules are selected. At least one module must be selected before saving.
- If you attempt to save without selecting any modules, the system displays the following message: “Task modules configuration list cannot be empty. Please add at least one.”
