Delete Task Flow
This action allows a system administrator or HR administrator to permanently delete a task flow that has been added, completely removing it along with all tasks generated from it, whether it was added by mistake or is no longer needed.
Before You Begin
- You must have the “Manage Task Flows” permission.
- The task flow you want to delete must already exist.
Steps to Delete a Task Flow
- From the main menu, click “Task Management,” then go to “Task Flows.”
- From the actions menu for the task flow you want to delete, click “Delete.”
- A confirmation message will appear: “Are you sure you want to delete this task flow? This will permanently remove. This action cannot be undone.”
- Click “Yes” to proceed with the permanent deletion, or click “No” to cancel the operation.
How the System Works
- Once the deletion is confirmed, the system deletes both:
- The task flow record itself.
- All tasks generated through this flow, regardless of their status.
- The system does not perform any validation on the status of the associated tasks before deletion; deleting the flow is allowed even if its tasks are “To Do,” “In Progress,” or “Completed.”
- Once the deletion is successful:
- A confirmation message appears confirming the flow was deleted successfully.
- The task flow permanently disappears from the task flows lists.
- All associated tasks permanently disappear from the task management lists.
- The deletion process is immediate and final.
Notes
- This action cannot be undone: deleting a task flow permanently removes all of its data and the data of its associated tasks, including tasks that have already been completed; it is recommended to be fully certain before proceeding with the deletion, especially for flows containing tasks that have actually been completed and documented in their history log.
