Can a Task Status Be Changed Directly from “To Do” to “Completed”?
No. You cannot change the task status directly from To Do to Completed. Users can no longer select a status directly from the status drop-down list. Instead, the available action depends on the task’s current status.
- From To Do, the available action is Acknowledge, which changes the task status to In Progress.
- A task can be changed to Completed only from the In Progress status by using the Complete action.
Note: In other words, a task must first move to the In Progress status before it can be marked as Completed. There is no direct transition from To Do to Completed.
