Asset Types — Add New Type

This screen allows you to create asset types that can be used later when adding or editing employee assets.

Steps to Add a New Asset Type

  • From the main menu, click on “Employees.”
  • Click on “Settings.”
  • Open the “Asset Types” tab.
  • Click on “Add Asset Type.”
  • Enter the NameRequired and must be unique.
  • Enter the DescriptionOptional.
  • Check the Status — it is enabled by default.
  • Click “Save” to create the record.
  • To cancel without saving, click “Cancel” to return to the list.

Notes

  • The Name field is mandatory and cannot be duplicated.
  • The Status is set to active by default upon creation and can be modified later.
