How do I record a public holiday on an employee’s attendance?

You can record a public holiday, weekend, or no-shift day on a specific employee’s attendance record by editing the attendance day. Follow these steps:

  1. From “Attendance” open “Attendance Days” and navigate to the required day.
  2. Click “Edit” to open the attendance day edit form.
  3. In the “Status” section select “Time Off“.
  4. From the “Time Off Type” dropdown select the appropriate type:
    • Weekend: If the day is a weekly day off for the employee.
    • No Shift: If no shift was assigned to the employee on that day.
    • Public Holiday: If the day is an official holiday — a list of assigned holidays appears in (Date — Holiday Name) format. If the holiday is not in the list select Other and enter the holiday name manually in the Holiday Name field.
  5. Click “Save“.

Note: This edit is treated as a manual edit and affects payroll calculations and attendance flags according to the system settings. All changes are recorded in the attendance day’s activity log.
