How do I record a public holiday on an employee’s attendance?
You can record a public holiday, weekend, or no-shift day on a specific employee’s attendance record by editing the attendance day. Follow these steps:
- From “Attendance” open “Attendance Days” and navigate to the required day.
- Click “Edit” to open the attendance day edit form.
- In the “Status” section select “Time Off“.
- From the “Time Off Type” dropdown select the appropriate type:
- Weekend: If the day is a weekly day off for the employee.
- No Shift: If no shift was assigned to the employee on that day.
- Public Holiday: If the day is an official holiday — a list of assigned holidays appears in (Date — Holiday Name) format. If the holiday is not in the list select Other and enter the holiday name manually in the Holiday Name field.
- Click “Save“.
Note: This edit is treated as a manual edit and affects payroll calculations and attendance flags according to the system settings. All changes are recorded in the attendance day’s activity log.
