Delete Task Template

Deleting a task template allows you to remove any template that is no longer used or needed, keeping the templates list organized and free of irrelevant templates. This article explains the steps to delete a task template.

Before You Begin

  • You must have the “Manage Task Templates” permission to perform this action.
  • The task template you want to delete must already exist.

Steps to Delete a Task Template

  1. From the main menu, click “Task Management”, then go to “Settings”.
  2. Click “Task Templates”.
  3. Go to the actions menu for the template you want to delete, then click “Delete”.
  4. On the following delete confirmation screen: “Are you sure you want to delete (Template’s name) task template? This will permanently remove. This action cannot be undone.”, click Yes to confirm the permanent deletion of the template.

How the System Works

  • When “Delete” is clicked, the system displays a confirmation dialog with a clear warning that this action cannot be undone, as follows: “Are you sure you want to delete (Template’s name) task template? This will permanently remove. This action cannot be undone”.
  • Once the deletion is confirmed, the template is removed immediately and permanently from the system, and cannot be restored.
  • When “No” is clicked, the dialog closes without performing any deletion, and the template remains unchanged.

Notes

  • It is recommended to make sure the template is not currently used in any active task flows before deleting it.
