Modifying the Invoice Title to “Tax Invoice” or “Simplified Tax Invoice”
Since an electronic invoice can be either a tax invoice or a simplified tax invoice, Daftra system allows you to change the title of the electronic invoice to either “Tax Invoice” or “Simplified Tax Invoice” in two ways:
- One: Manual Title Change.
- Two Adding a variable that controls the invoice title automatically.
And below is an illustration of both ways.
First way: Manually Changing the Invoice Title
The software provides a tool for designing invoice and estimate templates to facilitate account owners in making necessary modifications to their templates. In a few simple steps, you can adjust the invoice template to meet the requirements of the electronic invoice by changing the titles to “Tax Invoice” or “Simplified Tax Invoice”.
To manually change the invoice title to “Tax Invoice” or “Simplified Tax Invoice” follow these steps:
- From the main menu, click on “Templates”.
- Choose “Printable Templates” from the menu.
- Click on the “Invoice/ Estimate Layouts” card.
- Click on the “New Layout” button.
- Select a suitable format (preferably choose the “Tax Invoice” or “فاتورة ضريبية” template).
- Click on the “Title” button at the top of the template editing screen.
- In the floating screen, modify the title that will appear on the template in the “Invoice Title” field and write “Tax Invoice” or “Simplified Tax Invoice”.
- Check the “Set this layout as default” at the left side of the template editing screen if you want.
- Click on the “Save” button at the top once you are done.
Second way: Automatically Changing the Invoice Title based on the Client type
In addition to the manual method, you can also set a variable that automatically labels the invoice as “Tax Invoice” for business/ commercial clients or “Simplified Tax Invoice” for individual clients, without the need for separate templates for each type.
To automatically change the invoice title to “Tax Invoice” or “Simplified Tax Invoice” based on the client type, follow these steps:
- From the main menu, click on “Templates”.
- Choose “Printable Templates” from the menu.
- Click on the “Invoice/ Estimate Layouts” card.
- Click on the desired invoice template for modification, or click on the “New Layout” button to create a new template for your account.
- Inside the invoice design screen, click on the “Titles” tab.
- Delete the existing title in the “Invoice Title” field.
- Add the following variable {%sa_auto_invoice_title%} in the “Invoice Title” field instead of the deleted title.
- Click on the “Save” button below the tab items.
- Click on the “Save” button at the top right of the invoice design screen.
- Now, when you create a sales invoice for an “Individual” client, you will find the invoice title as “Simplified Tax Invoice”. Similarly, when you create a sales invoice for a “Business/ Commercial” client, you will find the invoice title as “Tax Invoice” without the need for separate templates for each client type.
