Display the Last Selling Price for Products in the Invoice Creation Screen
Showing certain information while your employees create invoices for clients helps streamline sales processes, with one of the key pieces of information being the display of the last sale price for products during selection in the invoice. This can either be the last general sale price or the last sale price specific to each client.
Here’s a guide on activating and applying this setting in the system.
Activating the Setting to Display Last Selling Price for Products in Invoice Creation Screen
Click on “Sales Settings” from the dropdown menu under “Sales” in the main menu, then click on “General Invoice / Estimates Settings“.
- Control the display of the last sale price and minimum price by choosing one of these three options:
- None: The system will not display the last sale price for products in the invoice creation screen.
- Display Last Selling Price: The system will display the last selling price for the product below the item field in the invoice creation screen.
- Display Last Selling Price for Each Customer: The system will display the last selling price for the product sold to the specific customer below the item field in the invoice creation screen.
Impact of Applying the Last Selling Price Setting on Invoices
Let’s review the effect of each of the three options for this setting when creating an invoice.
When Choosing the “None” Setting
Only the product name appears in the item field without displaying the last selling price for the product.
When Choosing the “Display Last Selling Price” Setting
The last general sale price for the product, as well as the lowest selling price, appears below the product in the item field.
When Choosing the “Display Last Selling Price for Each Client” Setting,
The last sale price for the selected product sold to the chosen client, as well as the lowest selling price, appears below the product in the item field. The last selling price updates with each change of the client, reflecting the last invoice for that specific client.
Note that the invoice page needs to be reloaded to select a new client for their specific price to appear.
If the selected client in the invoice has not purchased this product before, there will be no amount displayed for the last sale price of the product. In this case, the setting only shows the last sale price for each client individually, not the general last sale price.
However, the lowest selling price is determined on a general basis, not the lowest selling price for each client.
