Why can’t I edit the financial period start date?

The “Start Date” field is read-only because each period’s start date is automatically linked to the end date of the previous period, ensuring continuity of accounting periods without gaps or overlaps.

• The only exception is the first financial period in the account, where you can set the start date freely.
