How do I know the profit or loss result of a financial period?

After closing the period, a “Profit or Loss Amount” field appears in both the Financial Periods list and the period view screen:

• Profit is displayed in green followed by the amount and currency.
• Loss is displayed in red followed by the amount and currency.

The system derives this value from the retained earnings line in the Profit & Loss entry generated upon closing.
