Does selecting a parent account automatically select its sub-accounts when choosing the accounts that require cost center distribution?

Yes. When you select a parent account in the Accounts Requiring a Cost Center window, all the sub-accounts under it are selected automatically, at all levels. For example, when you select Fixed Assets, Equipment and Laptops under it are selected.

• Sub-accounts added later under the selected parent account are also required to be distributed to cost centers, without changing the settings.
• If you deselect a sub-account after selecting the parent account, the parent account is deselected and its other sub-accounts stay selected. In this case, new sub-accounts aren’t added automatically.
• If you select all the sub-accounts of a parent account one by one, the parent account itself is selected automatically.
