Adding a Measurement Unit Template
Daftra offers you the ability to create unit templates for products or services you provide for your business. This enables you to easily add them when inputting a product or service into the system, alongside setting a price for this unit for its representation and calculation in the invoices you issue to your clients.
Initially, make sure to activate the setting specific to unit templates within the inventory settings. For more details, you can review the explanatory guide “Enabling Measurement Unit Templates”.
- Click on “Inventory” from the main menu.
- Click on “Product Settings”.
- Click on the card labeled “Unit Templates”.
- Press the “Add Unit Template” button.
- Fill in the required information to define the new unit template as follows:
- Base Unit Name: The name of the smallest unit that constitutes the larger units in the template.
- Short Name: Abbreviation for the base unit in the template, which appears in all transactions and reports within the account.
- Unit Name: The name of the larger unit in the unit template.
- Factor: The amount needed from the base unit to form 1 of the larger unit.
- Short Name: Abbreviation for the larger unit in the template, which appears in all transactions and reports within the account.
- Template Name: Adding the template name to the account.
- You can click the “Add Unit” button to start defining an additional unit in the template and specify its “Factor” and “Short Name”.
- Press the “Save” button.
