Why did a journal account disappear from the distribution accounts list?
When you distribute expenses on a requisition and choose the Journal type, the list shows only the journal accounts that still have an amount available for distribution. A journal account disappears from the list in the following cases:
| Reason | Explanation |
|---|---|
| The account is fully distributed | The full amount of the account was already distributed on other requisitions or on indirect costs in manufacturing. If it’s partially distributed, it appears with the remaining amount. |
| The whole journal is fully distributed | If the total distributions on the journal reach its total debit, all its accounts disappear from the list. |
| The account is selected in another row | You can’t select the same journal account in more than one row within the same distribution. |
| The account is on the credit side | Only the debit accounts in the journal appear. |
| The journal is a draft | Accounts of journals saved as drafts don’t appear. |
| The journal is in another branch | When the Branches app is enabled, only the current branch’s journals appear. |
| The journal belongs to an expense | Expense journals don’t appear here; distribute them by choosing the Expense type instead of Journal. |

Note: If you delete or edit an earlier distribution of the account, the amount goes back to available, and the account appears in the list again.
