Multiple Barcode

What is the multiple barcode of a product?

Daftra software offers the feature of defining templates for product measurement units, allowing a single product to have multiple measurement units in stock, the capability to display stock in each measurement unit, and also to conduct sales and purchasing transactions.

To facilitate the process of retrieving products directly by the desired measurement unit via barcode, the “Multi-barcode” feature allows creating and printing a barcode label for each measurement unit in the product file.

Example: “Product A” has a specific unit template for weights to display the product in units like “gram” and “kilogram”

Multiple barcode templates can be created as follows:

Barcode 101000553 is specific to Product A in the gram unit.
Barcode 0100000533 is specific to Product A in the kilogram unit.

When printing the first label and using it to retrieve Product A on the invoice:

  • Product A appears with the gram measurement unit automatically (the selling price of the product in grams is also retrieved).

When printing the second label and using it to retrieve Product A on the invoice:

  • Product A appears with the kilogram measurement unit automatically (the selling price of the product in kilograms is also retrieved).
