Tracking Products by Expiry Date

Product Tracking Options

Daftra software  allows you to track your products through various options; whether by serial number, lot number, or expiry date. This is done when adding a new product. For more details on how to add a product, please refer to the guide “Adding a Product/ Adding a Service“.

 

To activate this feature, click on the checkbox “Track Products Using Serial, Lot or Expiry Date” in the inventory settings. For more details, refer to the guide “General Inventory Settings“.

Tracking the Products by Expiry Date

  1. Click on “Inventory” from the main menu.
  2. Click on “Product Tracking“.
  3. Click on the card labeled “Expiry Date“.
    • Note: There must be products that have already been tracked by expiry date in your account for the “Expiry Date” option to appear. For more details, refer to the guide “Adding a Product/ Adding a Service“.
  4. Use the search options located at the top of the product list to search for the desired product as follows:
    • Search by Product: Enter the desired product name in the search box.
    • Search by Warehouse: Select the warehouse containing the desired product from the drop-down list.
    • Search by Expiry Date (From): To determine products whose expiration date falls within a specific period, select the start date of this period.
    • Search by Expiry Date (To): To determine products whose expiration date falls within a specific period, select the end date of this period.
  5. To view available products, click on the “Available” button.
  6. To view unavailable products, click on the “Out Of Stock” button.
  7. Click on the desired product to view it.

Viewing the Stock Transactions for a Product tracked by Expiry Date

  1. Click on “Inventory” from the main menu.
  2. Click on “Product Tracking“.
  3. Click on “Expiry Date“.
  4. Click on the product you want to view its inventory movement.
    • Under the “Details” tab, the system will display product details, including its name and expiry date.
  5. For the product’s movement details, click on the “Stock Transactions” tab.
    • The system will display the stock transaction details of the product.
