What Is the Difference Between a Commercial Registration Number and a Unified Number?

The Commercial Registration Number is issued by the Ministry of Commerce to companies and establishments, while the Unified Number starts with 700 and is issued by government authorities to registered commercial entities. The system automatically distinguishes between the two based on the prefix — if the number you entered starts with 700 it will be treated as a Unified Number when sending the invoice to ZATCA, and if it does not start with 700 it will be treated as a Commercial Registration Number.
