Why does a message appear asking me to set the new period dates when closing?

When closing the current open period, the system automatically opens a new financial period immediately after it. For this reason, the “Next Financial Period Details” screen appears to let you specify the new period’s duration before the closing is finalized.

Note: This message does not appear when entering the first financial period in the account.
