Linking a Measurement Unit Template to the Product

Daftra enables to create unit templates for the products or services you offer to your business, such as: (kg, meter, carton, hour, session … etc.), and they can easily be linked to the product or service you provide, along with adding a price for this unit to clarify and calculate it in the invoices you issue to your client.

 

You must first “activate measurement unit templates“, then “add a measurement unit template” for the products existing on your system.

1. Click on “Inventory” from the main menu.
2. Click on “Products &  Services”.
3. Either “Add a new product/ Adding a new service” or “Edit the product/service”.
4. Select the template from the “Unit Template” field.
5. Select the unit used for selling the product from the list next to the “Selling Price” field.
6. Select the unit used for purchasing the product from the list next to the “Purchase Price” field.
7. Select the unit used in inventory movements for the product from the list next to the “Initial Stock Level” field.
   • Note: This option is available only when adding a new product, and not visible during editing.
8. Fill in the remaining product/service details as required.
9. Click on the “Save” button.

Notes:

• The system automatically calculates the selling or purchasing price for the base measurement unit and larger units based on the registered conversion factor. For more details on how the software works with measurement units, refer to the guide “Measurement and Packaging System in Daftra”
• The system displays the product’s default measurement unit in lists and reports based on what is specified in the settings when activating “Unit Templates”. For more details, refer to the guide “Activating Unit Templates in the Account”
