How to Stop Tracking Products

Step 1: Export Product Data

1. From the main menu, go to Inventory.
2. Select Products & Services.
3. Select the products you want to stop tracking (use the checkboxes
4. next to the products).
5. From the Actions button, choose Export.

Step 2: Edit the Exported File

1. Open the exported Excel file.
2. Delete all columns that you do not need to update, keeping only the following columns:

   • name (Product Name)

   • product code (Product Code)

   • Type (Type)

   • track stock (Track Stock)

3. Change the value in the track stock column to 0 for all products you want to stop tracking.
4. Save the file after editing.

Step 3: Import the Edited File

1. Go back to the Products & Services screen.
2. Click Import.
3. Select the file you edited and saved earlier.
4. Select the Comma Separated option.
5. Click Next Step.

Step 4: Match the Data

1. From the data matching screen, link the following columns:

   • Product Name: Name

   • Product Code: Product Code

   • Type: Type

   • Track Stock: Track Stock

2. Enable the option Update an existing Product with new data.
3. Select a field such as Name to identify the data to be updated.

Step 5: Complete the Import Process

1. Click Import.
2. Once the process is complete, open any of the products you edited.
   You will find that the tracking status is now set to Active (meaning the product is no longer being tracked).
