Does editing a client’s details affect previous invoices?

No. Editing a client’s details does not change previous invoices. When an invoice is issued, the client’s details are saved in it as they were at that time, such as the name, address, and VAT Number. The new details apply only to invoices you issue after the edit.

The same applies to the Client is a Government Entity option in Saudi accounts:

• Each invoice keeps the government entity flag and the number used when it was issued, even if you later uncheck the option for the client or change their number.
• When you edit a previous invoice for the same client, its government entity flag stays as it is, and changes only if you change the client on the invoice.

Note: This applies to Sales Invoices, Refund Receipts, Credit Notes, and Debit Notes.
