Creating a new Bundle Product

Daftra provides you the ability to add a new composite product that includes a number of products covered by this product or includes the components involved in its manufacture.

For example:

• You can sell the complete collection of a certain writer that contains 10 different books, so that the stock of each of these books decreases every time you sell the collection (the composite product).
• You can also add a perfume as a composite product, with its components being the raw materials that it is composed of in the required proportions to obtain the fragrance composition. Consequently, the perfume components like alcohol, essential oils, and solvents decrease by the amount needed to form a bottle of perfume when selling the perfume as a composite product.

You can control the relationship between the composite product and its components at the inventory level by providing two options:

• Pack : Here, the quantity of the raw materials that make up the composite product is reduced automatically when a new quantity of the composite product is added to the inventory.
• Compound: The quantity of the raw materials that make up the composite product is not reduced when a new quantity of the composite product is added to the inventory.

The composite product feature is directed at manufacturers or producers, as well as in marketing offer cases similar to the idea of a composite product, which often comes in the form of a “buy one product and get another product for free or at a lower value”.

• Note: You must first define the products included in the composition of the composite product (the raw materials) before adding the composite product itself, by adding them to the account as a product. You can refer to the guide “Adding a Product/ Service“ for more details about adding products. You will not be able to add a certain perfume to your system if you have not added its components like fragrant oils, alcohol, etc., as individual products in the system.

1. From the main menu, click on “Inventory”.
2. Click on “Products & Services”.
3. Click on the “Add” button.
4. Select from the dropdown menu “New Bundle”.
5. Fill in the product details as required.

6. Fill in the details of “Bundle Product” below the main product data fields:
   • Raw Warehouse: Specify the default warehouse from which the composite product’s components are dispensed.
   • Bundle Type: Select the bundle type weather it’s a “Pack” or “Compound”.
   • Product: Select the product that constitutes the composite product.
   • Quantity: Specify the amount dispensed from the product to form a single unit of the composite product.
   • Click on “Add Product” to start adding another product as one of the components of the composite product.
7. Click on the “Save” button.

• Note: To adjust the cost of the composite product, add the cost value in the “Purchase Price” field within the basic product data. If the “Purchase Price” field is left empty, the system will automatically calculate the cost of the composite product by computing the total cost (purchase prices) of all the products that make up the composite product according to the specified quantities.
