Why doesn’t the system find the client when scanning the barcode?
Several common reasons may cause the message “No client found with this barcode” to appear or no result to be returned:

No barcode assigned to the client: Make sure the client has a barcode registered in their profile — open the client’s edit page and check that the barcode field has a value.

Barcode value mismatch: Make sure the scanned barcode value exactly matches the value saved in the system. While the system automatically strips trailing characters that some scanners may append, if the barcode itself is incorrect or damaged no result will be returned.

Permissions: If you are restricted to viewing specific clients only, the client will not appear in search results even if the barcode matches — check your client access permissions in your assigned role.

Branch restrictions: If the Branch plugin is active, barcode lookup is scoped to clients within your accessible branches only. If the client belongs to a branch outside your permission scope, they will not appear in the results.
